District Updates

October 18-22 is School Bus Safety Week. Throughout this week, you may see Stark County Sheriff Deputies following our school buses and patrolling our school zones. There is no need to be alarmed by this additional police presence; it is part of our partnership with the Stark County Sheriff’s office to make sure that we operate as safely as possible.

Mask Policy
Until further notice, Canton Local Schools will require face masks for all students and staff members on buses and inside buildings.

We will continue to reassess our face mask policy by meeting with health officials, Stark County COVID task force, Stark County Health Department, and follow developments at our local hospitals.

The decision to wear face coverings gives Canton Local the best opportunity to keep students in our classrooms and participating in regular school activities.
